Biggest Loser Couples: Jenn is Eliminated

This week, there essentially were no more couples. Allison told them they’d be eliminated as individuals, but they were in for a bigger shock. At the challenge, they learned it would be Bob and Jillian competing – for them. Yes, the Black and Blue teams were back. The challenge for the trainers was to run up and down and escalator 10 times. Whoever won got to pick their six contestants. I thought Jillian would have this wrapped up, but Bob kicked her butt, finishing while she was still on lap 7. Bob picked the Orange team (Jackie and Dan), the Black team (Mark and Jay), and the Grey team (Trent and Roger). Jillian and the others accused him of picking all the strong guys and leaving the weak behind. Jenn said Bob was all about the macho guys and Bernie and Brittany were hurt because they were the original blue team. Get over it!

The contestants didn’t get out of the challenge that easily. They had to stay on the escalator and whoever lasted the longest would split $10,000 with their team. Paul and Trent were instructed by the trainers to fall off immediately due to injuries. Brittany gave Mark, Jay, and Dan a run for their money, but eventually she fell off and Blue won. She was trying to prove to Bob that she was worthy of being on his team. The Blue team noticed that no one in their group had ever fallen below the yellow line. Jillian resigned herself to once again dealing with the underdogs and vowed to step up to the challenge.

The teams received a temptation in the form of soda. There were 240 cups and one had a gold star on the bottom. Pick it and you get to choose someone from the other team whose weight loss didn’t count at the next weigh-in. No one fell for it even after Allison cut the number of cups in half.

As it turns out, it wouldn’t have mattered if the Black team had won that anyhow. They put up dismal numbers – I mean really, really embarrassing. Blue did fairly well, although Mark and Jay both fell to 5 pounds each. Dan lost the most with 13, so he was the Biggest Loser Player of the week. In total, the Blue team lost 50 pounds (3.00%). The Black team had to lose 41 pounds but didn’t even come close. Finally, Jenn and Maggie put up decent numbers (6 and 7 pounds respectively), but everyone else stunk. Brittany lost 2, Bernie lost 5, Kelly didn’t lose any and Paul actually gained 3 pounds. So the Black team had to meet to eliminate someone. Maggie, having lost the most weight percentage-wise, was immune.

They decided to eliminate Jenn, which I was fine with. Frankly, I am tired of her and Maggie whining when they have repeatedly been below the yellow line, although I was disappointed with Kelly and Paul. Kelly went home and she has lost a total of 53 pounds, weighing 201 now.
