Biggest Loser Couples: Kristin is Sent Home
Kristin was glad to still be on “Biggest Loser” while Tara was missing Laura. Or, maybe she was just missing the vote – hard for me to tell as she tells the video diary she is worried the rest of the contestants will take her out. Jillian goes to see Tara, who was upset that Jillian told Mike to send Laura home. Why does Tara have a problem seeing that Laura was injured? She had to be CARRIED up the stairs to weigh last week! The last place she needed to be was at that ranch. I am beginning to think more and more that Tara wanted the vote to help keep her there. Jillian jumped all over her. She told Tara that it wasn’t all about her and told her to not be selfish.
The reward challenge was a game show of fitness and food trivia. Who ever had the most correct answers after four questions would win a trip for two to New York and get a private tour of the Good Housekeeping research institute and have lunch in the VIP dining room. The tie breaker was between Mike and Kristin. They had to guess the calories in a fish sandwich. Mike won and Kristin was not happy.
The next challenge was to be in a cage, 45 feet in the air. The contestants had to hold a rope to stay suspended in the air. The winner got $10,000 or they could trade that for a one pound advantage. That was enough incentive for all the players, but several of them were really scared up there. Mike hated the height and was the first out – he just let go and fell about five feet. Not helping was 28 degrees and wind. Then, Filipe and Tara started arguing. Filipe started screaming and shaking the thing just to freak everyone out. He eventually dropped and it was between Helen and Tara. With a smug look on her face, Tara refused to cut a deal and Helen fell.
At the weigh-in, Tara chose to take the $10.000, which surprised most of the people, but not Jillian. It was a good choice as Tara lost 5 pounds and didn’t need the extra pound anyhow. Turns out the extra pound wouldn’t have helped Helen either – she only lost one pound and fell below the yellow line. Kristin gained one pound and was also under the yellow line. Ron fell under 300 pounds for the first time in 40 years!
Kristin asked to speak to Ron alone and again, he stressed that he would never write her name down – that he promised her mother that. What he didn’t mention was that he would do anything he could to help Mike win, which he has done the whole season. Ron sits back and orchestrates a lot and I don’t know if the others just don’t notice or just don’t care. Ron went to talk to Mike and pointed out that if Mike voted for Kristin, it would be a tie and with the lowest percentage, she would go home. Mike asked Ron is he was okay with that and he said yes. Wonder how he will feel when Kristin sees that?
The votes were tied and Kristin was told she was going home. Ron said he didn’t know Mike was going to vote for Kristin, but Kristin knew what was up – she said nothing happened by chance at this point in the game. She also pointed out that Mike, who thinks he has already won the show, took the easy way out. Personally, I’d be tickled pink if Filipe won.
