Biggest Loser Families: Jerry is Eliminated

On Biggest Loser Families, everyone was excited to go to the Grand Canyon. Personally, I’d be thinking it was going to be tough, outdoors, roughing it, but they were all excited, with some thinking they might be staying in a hotel. The bus pulled over at a convenience store and Alison hopped out of an RV. The first temptation challenge of the year turned out to be a dud. The teams could choose to guess calories of a junk food. If they guessed correctly, they won a pack of gum. If they didn’t win, they had to eat the snack. The first family to three packs of gum would win. Several teams guessed the first and second round, but after Ed and Heba won both rounds, no one would play the third round. So, Ed and Heba won the right to stay in the RV as opposed to camping out like everyone else.

The challenge was that one family member had to kayak down the river for 90 seconds, then the others on the dock has to pull back opposing team kayaks with a rope. The last one pulled into the dock would win an RV. The winners were Ed and Heba – again. Phil was upset because he wanted to win the RV for his three boys.

It was Coleen’s birthday and the group celebrated with a cake that looking like it was going to burst into flames – she is only 24! Everyone had sweet words for her. But, everyone was glad to get back to the ranch.

Both Bob and Jillian made the teams work outside the gym to show them what they should have done at the Grand Canyon. Jerry had leg trouble and was taken to the hospital. Instead of blood clots, he had a torn hamstring, which was both good and bad.

For the first time on Biggest Loser Families, there was not going to be two teams below the yellow line, but just one. And from that one team, only one member would be leaving.

At the weigh-in, Jerry gained two pounds. Everyone was surprised, despite his injury. They were the team below the yellow line. After much discussion, they decided that Jerry should leave. However, he went home 20 pounds lighter, and then lost another 50 pounds at home. It was a great transformation!
