Biggest Loser Families: The Two Toms Leave
This week on Biggest Loser Families, both Jillian and Bob told the teams that Week 2 is notorious for being bad as far as weight loss goes.
Ali shows up with ping pong paddles for each team, but only one. She reminds them that the average weight loss percentage for all contestants so far in Week 2 was 2.0. Each team could bid on the percentage of weight they thought they would lose this week. The highest bidder gets the chance to win $10,000. If the high bidder made their weight loss percentage, they would get the $10,000. If they didn’t, they automatically go under the yellow line. Coleen bids 2.4%. At least Jerry is feeling better this week. They got t-shirts that say 14 and had to tell Jillian what it is all about. She is NOT happy.
The challenge was a huge waterslide. The teams had to take turns sliding down, and then coming back up in an allotted amount of time. The winners got a phone call home. Jerry and Tom sat out, so Coleen and LT had to do it each time. Brady tanked it so they wouldn’t be seen as a threat and the Brown team was the first one out. As the challenge went on, the amount of time they had to get down the slide and back up shortened. The final four teams went at it over an hour with no one eliminated. Then, Pink and Yellow were out. Ed and Heba won the phone call. They could choose one other team to call home and decided to give it to Amy and Phil so they could call their sons.
Rocco DiSpirito is doing double time this week – appearing on “Dancing with the Stars” then showing up tonight on Biggest Loser. Rocco taught them how to shop and cook healthy meals. I loved it that Brady thought mussels were a vegetable. The best tasting recipe won a year’s worth of groceries. The winner was Amy, who had no idea how to cook before the show.
At the last chance workout, Jillian really pushed Jerry and Coleen hard. The weigh-in was tough as expected. Phil and Ed both lost eight pounds, and Brady lost seven. However, LT gained three pounds, while his dad lost three. In the end, it was Tom and LT and Coleen and Jerry under the yellow line. Ed and Heba felt loyalty to Tom and LT because they used two votes to keep them last week.
When the teams were discussing who should leave, Brady copped an attitude and got into it with Phil. That combined with the tanking the challenge – I am not so sure I like Brady. Coleen took a big chance and lost, but she and her dad lived to see another day on the ranch as the teams voted out Tom and LT. Tom has lost a total of 65 pounds since appearing on the show while LT has lost 81.
Ali tells the contestants they will be packing and taking a road trip to the Grand Canyon next week.
