Biggest Loser: Filipe Goes Home
It was a tough episode last week as Kristin was voted off “Biggest Loser.” Filipe felt all alone in the house now – like he cannot trust anyone left. Ron tried to tell Bob what happened, but Bob knew something was up. Ron said he did not have a hand in this – liar, liar, pants on fire Ron! Even Bob knew it was a lie.
Alison took the remaining contestants down memory lane – well, maybe it wasn’t such a good trip as it showed them struggling to work out at first. Then she dropped the bomb that this was their last week on campus. Tara and Helen tried on their small clothes they brought. That caused Mike to try on his small jacket.
After a visit to Dr. Huizenga to find out how much their health had improved, the contestants had to literally carry the weight they had lost. They were at a quarry with backpacks filled with weights. There were 16 sand hills and at each one, they got to drop the weight they lost that week. The winner would get either $10,000 or the 1 pound advantage. Second place would get whatever first place didn’t want. I was so hoping Filipe or Helen would win, but of course Tara won and Mike came in second. It was nice that Mike and Filipe helped Ron finish.
The contestants enjoyed “Train the Trainer” – they pushed Bob and Jillian hard! Then, it was the time for the weigh-in. You would think that losing 10 pounds at this stage in the game would be enough, but it wasn’t for Filipe. Nor did Ron’s 9 pounds hold up as they both fell under the yellow line. Tara chose to take the 1 pound, but as it turns out, she didn’t need it.
When talking, Ron played the “I’m less of a threat” card and of course, they voted Filipe out. He was the final one remaining of my favorites. I don’t really care much who wins now; although I guess I am pulling for Mike because he has made such a transformation. I certainly don’t want Ron “I sat back and dictated the game” to win and I’ve never liked Tara (don’t judge me – I just don’t like her!). Helen is okay, but I don’t know that she really has a chance to win.
Now the final four go home for 30 days then come back for a final weigh-in to determine the final 3.
