Biggest Loser Finale
My catchphrase for tonight was “Oh my God!” I couldn’t seem to quit saying that as the contestants walked out on stage. Everyone did such an excellent job! Even Kai, who I really don’t care for, looked amazing.
I was a little disappointed in their “Find out why one of the contestants won’t be weighing in” advertisement. They kept showing someone kick the scale, as if someone had failed in their weight loss. The big “secret” was Heather could not weigh in because she was pregnant.
I thought the show was seriously drawn out too long. I mean really, would an hour not have been long enough? Anyhow, the home contestants did great as well. The $50,000 prize for percentage of weight lost cane down to Poppi (New Jersey) and Matthew (Maine). Matthew lost an amazing 176 pounds, but Poppi won, losing 117 pounds. I didn’t even recognize Poppi and I remembered her from the beginning of the show.
As for the players that left the ranch, they all did a great job as well. I was so shocked by Ken – he looked incredible! And Brian – I can never even recognize Brian when they show him anymore! I thought it was great that Jennifer, the first person off the ranch, lost so much. She was in the lead for the $100,000 prize for a while, but Ken knocked her out. Then Brian, losing 156 pounds, knocked Ken (161 pounds) out and went on to win the competition, even though it was really close between him and Jaron (160)
I figured Erik had the grand prize in the bag, but Kai surprised me. I knew Wylie couldn’t lose that much more, but Erik – man, he looked fabulous! I was so glad he won!
