Biggest Loser: Julio is Sent Home

After last week’s “Biggest Loser” fiasco, Shay is still not happy with Tracey. Bob and Jillian reminded them they all needed to fight to stay on campus and not just give up. Dr. H. told Tracey no working out at all – no walking, no pool, nothing. She told Mo and bless his heart, he is sympathetic with her even though it puts all the pressure on him.

The contestants went into the kitchen to find padlocks on all the cabinets. Ally told them they cabinets were going to stay locked all week and they had to order out every single meal. The contestants freaked out, but realized they had to learn to eat healthy outside the house. There was a challenge – they had to choose the healthiest from three options. The winning team would win a kitchen stocked with healthy foods for a year. Most people chose A or C and the correct answer was A. The teams that chose correctly had to guess the calories in dinner A. The Pink Team ended up winning. Poor Daniel went over by like 30 points.

Bob and Jillian took the contestants on a “dinner date” to learn how to choose good food when eating out. They went to a Mexican restaurant and said no thank you to chips and dip – that is tough! While there, Jillian pointed out that they needed concrete goals for weight loss.

The challenge was to hold on to a handlebar on a platform above water. The tricky part was the platform got steeper and steeper. The winning team got immunity. Some of them started sliding immediately. Liz was the first one down with one handed Danny going quickly after her. Shay, the heaviest, was the last girl hanging on, which made her proud. It came down to Daniel and Allen. Allen finally fell and Daniel won immunity for he and Shay. He couldn’t believe he actually won, which means he gets to stay on campus longer than last season. I just love Daniel!

At the last chance workout, Mo was working hard when he hurt his back. Allen said Mo’s body wasn’t up to this. Well, at least not completely alone! Mo admitted to Bob that he had thought about going home, but Bob reminded him the pain would still be there. Mo realized he needed change and went back into the gym and worked through the pain. I just love Mo too!

At the weigh-in, it was a good thing Daniel won immunity. He lost 0 pounds while Shay managed to lose 5. Jillian and Bob accused him of not losing weight as a part of strategy. Abby was restricted to the pool, but she still lost 3 pounds. Rudy’s 11 pound loss drew a “Whoa” from the contestants. Liz felt like she was going to pull a bad number and was hoping Danny pulled a big one. Danny lost 8 and Liz lost 3, but Danny said he was tired of this and hoped it was enough to keep them safe. Tracey was afraid she had gained weight this week with the eating out and no exercise. They needed to lose 10 pounds to stay safe and Mo felt they were in trouble just as he decided he wanted to be there. Through some miracle, Mo lost 8 pounds and Tracey even lost 4! There was applause by some, but others didn’t want to applaud. Shay said it wasn’t fair that another healthy team had to go home when Mo and Tracey were ailing.

By the end of the weigh-in, it was Julio and Liz and Danny under the yellow line. Julio said it was the worst case scenario because the two teams loved each other. Liz said the they weren’t going to fight to stay, that the other contestants would have to make a decision. Through many, many tears, they decided to send Julio home.

Julio showed up at the ranch weighing 407 pounds and now weighs 299.
