Biggest Loser: No One Leaves the Ranch This Week
It’s only Week 2 on “Biggest Loser” and everyone was pretty devastated by the Alexandra elimination. Allison told them they could guarantee no elimination this week if everyone lost a combined total of 150 pounds. But, Week 2 is a hard time to lose. And, if they don’t lose 150, two people are headed home.
Coach Mo suggested everyone staying together, relying on Danny’s help since he had been through Week 2, and said he would help get everyone mentally ready. Coach Mo went to see Tracey, who was still in the hospital. She finally returned to the ranch the next day. Julio promised he would not waste his opportunity. Shay is frustrated with Julio – she feels he isn’t working out as much as everyone else.
Chef Curtis Stone gave the contestants nutritional tips, but they had to pay close attention. If they answered 5 out of 8 questions correctly, they would get a 15 pound advantage at the weigh-in. Although they missed a few questions, the teams eventually won and only had to lose 135 pounds instead of 150.
The challenge was to navigate rafts separated by balance beams, each one smaller than the one before. The contestants had to work together to get everyone on the beams then to the next raft. If one person fell in, the challenge was over. They all made it to the first raft and got 5 additional pounds off at the weigh-in. The second raft added another 5 pounds. They all made it to the third raft, which meant everyone got a phone call from home. They even made it to the last raft, which was another 10 pounds. So now they only had to lose 115 pounds.
At the weigh-in, everyone did pretty well. While Rebecca only lost 4 pounds and Amanda only lost 6 pounds, Julio showed them all – he lost 19 pounds! He lost more than some teams did! The Orange Team still had to weigh in and Shay and Daniel lost a combined total of 23 pounds. That means they would have made their 150 pound weight loss anyhow.
