Biggest Loser: Patti Goes Home
It was the dreaded week two on “Biggest Loser,” but most of the players did really well. Dr. H. showed up to give the contestants the usual bad news. He made Bob put on Michael’s extra 303 pounds and I thought it was going to kill Bob. Jillian almost threw up eating what Daris and Cheryl eat in one day. Ashley got the news that she was diabetic.
The challenge was carry ten balls from one end of a pool to the other while walking on a balance beam. The winners (the Red Team) got immunity. The losers (the White Team) got a 2 pound penalty added to their weigh-in. Worse than that, Maria is so afraid of water that rather than fall into it, she face planted on the cement pool area. I’ve never seen a contestant with blood spewing everywhere like I did that. She busted up her nose and got a black eye from it. Bob helped Michael get back on track after his mom’s accident while Jillian tried to help her overcome her fear of water.
At the weigh-in, we learned really early who is into the game play this season. Red had immunity, but really, did Melissa have to gain a pound? Bob told her to just say it – say she was playing the game and she finally admitted it. There weren’t any huge numbers lost, but Michael and Maria overcame their 2 pound disadvantage by losing 11 and 10 pounds respectively.
That put the Purple Team, Stephanie and Patti, under the yellow line. Patti pleaded for the contestants to keep her daughter and they did. Patti went home and so far has lost 43 pounds.
