Blake and Jordin are in the American Idol Finale
I am trying to write, but my bottom lip keeps hitting my keyboard. Tonight was the most shocking American Idol results show I have ever seen. Melinda Doolittle, the staple of the show, was voted off. Yes, that’s right, the best singer was sent home. And I say that honestly – Jordin is cute and a good singer and I’ve been voting for Blake for weeks now, but Melinda was the best. Period.
On a brighter note, Elliott sang well. I have his CD and it is great. Melinda was voted off – still cannot get over it. When asked for reactions, Randy said Melinda was the most consistent, Paula said she had already made it, and Simon (graciously) congratulated the other two, but told Melinda she was one heck of a singer.
I am hoping Blake will win the finals. Jordin has the better voice, but apparently, that doesn’t matter because Melinda had the best voice. Blake has something special that makes him stand out. Wow, still cannot believe Melinda was sent home.
