Bob Harper
If you have ever seen “The Biggest Loser,” you know Bob Harper. He is one of the trainers on the show who helps people not only lose weight, but regain control of their lives through exercise and diet. Bob is the trainer for the Blue Team on the show.
Bob was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA. He is certified with American Fitness Training of Athletics as well as the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Bob has worked with celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Melissa Etheridge, Selma Blair, Ben Stiller, Jenny McCarthy, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Catherine Keener, Ellen DeGeneres, Guy Ritchie, Laura Dern, and Dermott Mulroney.
Bob is one of the most in demand fitness trainers and specialists. Why does everyone seem to love Bob? He gives those that need to lose weight and get in shape the guidance they need while also providing optimistic encouragement and practical advice. He has even been known to talk to members of the opposing team on “The Biggest Loser” to help cheer them up and give them support to continue in their quest for weigh loss. He motivates clients by making them realize their self worth then tries to help them develop a healthy exercise routine and nutritious eating habits.
Four years ago, he landed the job as one of the trainers on NBC’s highly successful show “The Biggest Loser.” He also appears as a team trainer for the Australian version of “The Biggest Loser.” In addition, he has appeared on “Larry King Live,” “CNN Live,” “Extra,” “Access Hollywood,” “Entertainment Tonight,” and “Inside Edition.” Bob has also been featured in many magazines including US Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide, Oprah Magazine, Star, and In Touch.
In addition to his personal training projects and television appearances, Bob also has written books and appeared in DVDs about weight loss and fitness. He has written “Are You Ready!: To Take Charge, Lose Weight, Get in Shape, and Change Your Life Forever,” “The Biggest Loser: The Weight Loss Program to Transform Your Body, Health, and Life–Adapted from NBC’s Hit Show!” (with Maggie Greenwood-Robinson), and “The Biggest Loser Cookbook: More Than 125 Healthy, Delicious Recipes Adapted from NBC’s Hit Show” (with Devin Alexander and Karen Kaplan). Bob appears in The Biggest Loser Workout, Vol. 2 DVD and the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt, which will be available this December. He is also involved in PUSH, a progressive full body training system. This system is delivered to your home as a DVD that features Bob giving you personalize attention.
Aside from Bob’s busy schedule, he is also a yoga instructor and makes personal appearances. In his off time, he enjoys photography, tennis, cycling, running, and snowboarding.
