Casey named fan favorite for Season 3 Top Chef Miami
Ah, yes, that most wonderful of all reality television programs – the reunion show. Why do producers insist on having these programs? And wouldn’t it have made more sense for Top Chef to have had their reunion show before the finale? Isn’t that how they did it in Season 1? I don’t think they had a reunion show in Season 2. But then again, I did tune in to “see what happens” last night.
So what did I learn from my hour watching this reunion show? Here’s what I found out:
Tom Colicchio doesn’t think Hung is the most popular chef on the block. How rude was it for him to tell Hung that he had no shot at becoming fan favorite?
However, if Colicchio were to have a cook off between one of the contestants of season 3 and himself it would be Hung. Interesting……….
Some of the cooking techniques that Hung used could be described as “culinary masturbation” according to Howie. Is there really such a thing? It brings to mind some of the questions on the “purity test” that many of us in the late 80’s and early 90’s took while in high school or college. I don’t seem to remember any questions about using food or cooking tools.
Dale’s “type” for dating is male. As he said, beauty is only a light switch away. Again, interesting.
There were lots of other tidbits of information put out in the show, all a time suck if you ask me, but we did learn that Casey was voted fan favorite. She won $10,000 and a full set of Calphalon cookware. I’ve priced that stuff out in Macy’s and a full set is probably worth more than a thousand dollars. Not a bad prize. Not $100,000 but not bad.
So how long is it until Season 4 premiers?
