Comedy Sundays on MTV
MTV is the place to be for comedy on Sunday nights! On February 8th starting at 9 pm ET, MTV rolls out the lineup of “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” “The CollegeHumor Show,” “Nitro Circus,” and “How’s Your News.”
“Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” features “Rob & Big” skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his Fantasy Factory, a 25,000 square foot complex that is the first indoor concrete skate plaza. Rob plans to fill his plaza with zip-lines, foam pits, skate ramps, and even a T-Rex. The show costars Rob’s friend and skateboard superstar Danny Way and Rob’s cousin Drama, as his personal assistant. Also appearing are other sports friends including Travis Pastrana, Paul Rodriguez, Steve Berra, and Ken Block.
“The CollegeHumor Show” originally started out as stories and photos posted on collegehumor.com by two high school friends. The site eventually grew to six million monthly viewers. The show is a look two offbeat twenty something characters (actual employees filmed at the actual office site) as they create crazy, frat-house humor for the Internet. You never know when a skit is going to break out in this rebellious office.
“Nitro Circus” is produced by Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville, who also produced “Jackass.” It features Travis Pastrana, a nine-time X Games gold medalist, who is known for crazy stunts like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute or doing a double back flip on a motorcycle. Joining Pastrana are his equally insane buddies professional mountain biker Jim DeChamp, Andy Bell, skier/base jumper Erik Roner, professional female motocross racer Jolene Van Vugt, and former sheet-rocker Streetbike Tommy – all of whom are trying to out do each other with outrageous stunts. Just because they are all professionals doesn’t mean they aren’t crazy.
Last but not least on Comedy Sundays is “How’s Your News.” These exceptional reporters, all of whom are disabled, go around the country looking for interesting people to interview. The show is based on the highly acclaimed short and features no filters, no boundaries.
