Competitours Offers Amazing Race Excitement
If you love “The Amazing Race” and wish you could be a participant, Competitours is the next best thing! Season 9 winner Tyler (aka The Hippy) will be a part of Competitours, a team travel competition. It has been called “The Amazing Race for Regular People” by National Geographic Traveler magazine.
Two teams will race through Western and Central Europe with fun and surprising challenges along the way. Teams can chose from 9-12 challenges each day, so they get to make up their own itinerary. They are competing for a world wide travel spree as the grand prize. Unlike “The Amazing Race,” Competitours is less about hurrying or being physically fit than it is about being resourceful and original.
This sightDOING trip is from July 29th until August 6th and will visit such sites as a Belgium French fry museum, a Viking Ship museum in Scandinavia, and a Rhine River castle in Germany.

I’m Tyler MacNiven, I won season 9 of the Amazing Race. If you want to race around the world without being a secret agent or Amazing Race contestant, than Competitours is the best bet. I’ve been itching for race-mode again so I signed up for a Competitours race this summer. I’ll be racing with the fastest lady I know: my Mother. It is a magical experience to charge through foreign landscapes with intense, fun, and creative missions. Come race with us!

It’s race day! (only if you are in China, because it’s still the 27th here in San Francisco). Tomorrow my Mother and I hitch a metal bird to Geneva Switzerland to begin challenging ten other innocent teams on a race of wit and mental prowess. My Mother, of whom they based the character Nancy Drew on, and I have wild expectations of expecting the unexpected. Adventure, excitement, delicious European food! Here we come!!
