Dance War: Carrie Ann Sends Allysa Home

This week’s episode started out as usual – with both teams performing. This was Latin Week, so they performed “Dance with Me.” To treat her team, Carrie Ann took her kids to a spa for a day of massage, Jacuzzi, and manicures. But, she said Latin Week was her biggest fear.

For the first number, Team Carrie Ann performed “Conga” while Team Bruno did “Sway.” I didn’t care for Team Carrie Ann’s performance. The singing was good, but the dancing was just “eh.” However, Team Bruno was much better, much sexier, even though he is down two people. For the second number, Team Carrie Ann performed “I Need to Know” and Team Bruno did “Wind Up.” Again, I just felt Team Bruno was sexier – maybe it was because he had his four kids dance together and to me, that is what Latin Dance is all about, the sexiness of a couple dancing. However, both Carrie Ann and Bruno praised both teams for both performances, but Bruno did say it took Team Carrie Ann a while to get into the second performance.

The tide finally turned for Team Bruno as his team won this week and Carrie Ann had to send someone home. Bruno dramatically fell to his knees and appeared to weep when he heard his team had won. It came down to Chris and Allysa with Carrie Ann sending Allysa home.

Next week is the finale. Not only will we find out who wins “Dance War,” but the cast for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars” will also be revealed live.

Personally, I am bored with Dance Wars. There is too much drama, the show is too drawn out, and I don’t think it is fair to vote for a team who may get rid of your favorite singer/dancer in the next episode. It is all just too contrived – the drama between teams and each other, the drama between Bruno and Carrie Ann. And I am still not over last week’s choices of “country” songs. I like Bruno – I like Carrie Ann – I like the kids – I don’t like this show’s format.
