Dancing with the Stars: Team Dance Night
Another injury on “Dancing with the Stars” as Melissa re-injured her ribs and had to drop out – at least for this week. She and Tony received a score of 21 based on their rehearsal.
Gilles and Cheryl did the Lindy and it was a good thing Gilles got a shot for his shoulder because he had to do several lifts. I thought he looked a bit ahead of Cheryl on some of the kicks, but all the judges loved it and they received a score of 27.
Lil’ Kim and Derek did a saucy paso doble that had the audience on their feet at the end. Carrie Ann said it showed how Kim’s dancing had grown and Len was expecting a disaster, but liked it. They got a score of 28, with Bruno giving them a 10.
Chuck and Julianne did the cha cha and the judges mostly had praises, however, Carrie Ann wanted Chuck to watch his chin and Len and Bruno thought his arms were too wooden. Still, they got a respectable score of 26.
Shawn and Mark’s samba scores were all over the place. Carrie Ann loved it and gave them a 10. Len thought it lacked hip action and gave it an 8. Bruno gave it a 9 for a total of 27.
Ty and Chelsie did the salsa and I was glad DWTS found a way to show Dmitry this week (helping Ty during practice). Again, scores were all over the place. Carrie Ann gave them a 9, Len, saying it was time for Ty to hit the trail unless his team really nailed it, gave them a 7, and Bruno gave them an 8 for a total of 24.
Fortunately for Ty, his team did nail the Tango. Ty, Chelsie, Gilles, Cheryl, Lil’ Kim, and Derek got a total score of 28, with Bruno giving them a 10. But, the laughs went to Team Mambo. Trying to outdo Gilles shirtlessness, the guys had breakaway pants with white tights on underneath. However, Carrie Ann called that distracting. Their score was a 25. Lacy danced in Melissa’s place, but Melissa will get the group score.
