Dancing with the Stars: Mario and Karina Leave

Tonight was the 100th episode of “Dancing with the Stars” and they brought back many of the old favorites. Among those in the audience were Jerry Springer, Lisa Rinna, Joey Lawrence, Joey Fatone, Stacy Keibler, Vivica A. Fox, Kenny Mayne, Shannon Elizabeth (was she there to see Derek?), Drew Lachey, and Jane Seymour. They also brought in 100 fans – two from each state to sit in the audience. We saw Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough dance to a song performed by Rascal Flatts. Then, Mario Lopez came out with the cast of A Chorus Line to dance. Rascal Flatts sang another song and we saw Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Melanie Brown dance for a minute. It was nice to Maks, as always.

After all the pomp and circumstance for the 100th show, they finally got down to the nitty gritty – who was staying and who was leaving. It was announced that Marissa and Tony were safe then Kristi and Mark. With three couples left, Tom announced that Cristian and Cheryl were safe, leaving Mario and Karina and Jason and Edyta in peril of leaving.

Karina waved to someone on the side – not sure if it was a wave to Mario Lopez or not, but it looked more like a “Bye, we are leaving” wave and that is what it turned out to be. But, Mario, the youngest competitor ever, thanked Len for all his comments and said the really braves ones were the men and women fighting overseas. Bravo Mario, that was a nice way to go out.
