Dancing with the Stars: My Favorites So Far
The first week of Season 7 “Dancing with the Stars” is complete and already two celebrities have left us – Jeffrey Ross and Ted McGinley. I was a bit surprised by Ted – I would have rather seen Kim Kardashian leave. Her dancing does not go with her sexy image.
This seems like it might be a tough season, at least for those in the middle. This week, there was one dancer who clearly broke away from the competition – Brooke Burke. Brooke scored a 23 on her first dance and a 26 on her second one. Only Toni and Cody came close to her, both scoring a 23 on the second night.
So, will Brooke run away with it? It’s hard to say. Lance and Lacey have a following, but his dancing will have to get a bit better. Cody might be a forced to contend with, but his fans are going to have to vote. No doubt Cloris will be leaving soon, but let’s just enjoy her zany antics while we can. Susan and Rocco both made miraculous recoveries from the first night. Susan jumped from a 15 to a 22 while Rocco improved from a 14 (the second lowest score given on the premiere night) to a respectable 21.
The athletes, Maurice, Misty, and Warren, are hovering around in the middle, all getting scores of 21 with the exception of Maurice’s first night (18) and Warren’s second night (22). On a show where athletes often have an advantage, I am not so sure these dancers do.
Right now, I’d put my money on Brooke (a no brainer), but as the dark horse, I’d have to say it is Cody or Rocco right now.
