Dancing with the Stars: Ted McGinley is Eliminated
After an opening number by the dance pros tonight on “Dancing with the Stars,” we found out that Brooke and Kim were both safe this week. Brooke was a no brainer, but with Kim, I thought it could have gone either way. In a nice gesture, we got to see Jeffrey and Edyta perform their quickstep, which wasn’t as horrible as I imagined it might be. Jeffrey looked much lighter on his feet than he was on his first dance – where was he hiding that?
Cloris found out next that she was safe. Yeah, I voted for her. Jessie McCartney performed, and then there was a skit with Adam Carolla on the street asking questions about DWTS. Maurice and Cheryl were told they were safe.
The Jonas Brothers performed to fill in time. If they left out the fluff, this could easily be done in a half hour! I know, I know, the screaming teenage girls want to see the Jonas Brothers. They are just everywhere lately – I am waiting for them to be guest judges on Project Runway or something.
Finally, on to more safe couples – Misty and Maks and Warren and Kym. Oops, turmoil between Cloris and Corky backstage. When he tried to talk and she interrupted him, he called her his “mouthpiece.” Cloris said she wanted a new partner – eh, I am sure they will make up.
Susan and Tony were told they were safe as were Rocco and Karina (yeah!). Lance and Lacey were safe then Cody and Julianne. That left it between Ted and Inna and Toni and Alec. Len was surprised that one of those two couples would be leaving. And going home is…Ted and Inna. Wow, Ted was great last night – I dunno what happened unless the votes just weren’t there. But then again, these shows are usually popularity contests, at least at the beginning.
