Dancing with the Stars: The Contestants Perform the Samba and Tango
This week on Dancing with the Stars, Brooke and Derek saw a bit of competition from Lance and Lacey. Brooke and Derek got a 26 for their samba as did Lance and Lacey for their gothic looking tango. Maurice and Cheryl sported nice ‘fros for their discoy samba, but the judges weren’t all that impressed, giving them a score of 20. Julianne said Cody had trouble focusing and called in his high school principal. It must have helped – he was awarded a 23 with Len calling him a “boy wonder.” Toni and Alec scored a 22 with Carrie Ann telling her she needed to look bigger on stage. The good news was her doctor said the dancing is good for her health.
Cloris and Corky were the big surprise of the night. She buckled down and seriously tried to pull off a tango and must have succeeded – she scored a 22. It was funny when Carrie Ann told her she was blocking her camera. Poor Rocco – I thought he did okay tonight, but the judges, while finding him entertaining, were not impressed with his dancing. He scored the lowest of the night with a 18.
Susan was told by Carrie Ann that she was like “moving art” and earned a respectable 24. Warren and Kym finished off the night with a samba that the judges felt was lacking a bit. He still managed to pull out a score of 22.
As much as I hate to say it, I think Rocco is seriously leaving this week, bar any more injuries to the other dancers.
