Dancing With The Stars Week 3 Elimination
Jonathan Roberts and Giselle Fernandez were voted off Dancing With The Stars this week, and in my opinion this was a mistake. I think they were the victims of the fact that Giselle is a well-respected journalist, and not some sports star or movie star. First, I think the judges were way too critical of their Tango. They really tore into Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani, yet they still got high scores, for whatever reason. I think the judges were criticizing Giselle on what they thought her potential was and not on the performance she gave. Kind of like the son of a football star always being compared to his father, never really given credit for the performance he gives. Second, I think the voting went to the more “popular” stars (read: more of a fan base) and the votes went to people because they liked the celebrity and not because he/she did a good job. I learned my lesson after this week. You can probably tell by the tone of this entry that Jonathan and Giselle were my favorite couple. Next time I need to use every vote I have to keep my favorite team on the show, whoever they may be. I figure between land lines, cell phones and email addresses I can dig up almost 30 votes. Take that judges!!!! I’m going to stuff the ballot box (so to speak).
