Dave and Lori Eliminated!
Well, Dave and Lori were eliminated but at least they have each other. I thought it would be the non-elimination round, the first in season 9, but I was wrong.
It was a fun episode but I can’t say anything too dramatic or surprising happened. The kayak-polo looked like a ton of fun and I’m gonna see if anyone in my area plays – but the rest of the episode just kind of played in order.
Eric and Jeremy took over first place and won a cruise for two. The hippies, BJ and Tyler, were right behind them. Then came Joseph and Monica, Fran and Barry, Lake and Michelle, and Ray and Yolanda before Dave and Lori were eliminated. So I guess I’m glad to see Ray and Yolanda gain a position but they are once again in last place.
Other than a bit of frustration carrying large swordfish around an open market everyone pretty much completed the tasks without incident and there weren’t any big blunders.
The previews for next week show the contestants competing in traditional Greek games such as wrestling and I can see someone’s temper flaring. So maybe that will bring a bit of fun-to-watch drama – but we’ll have to see.
Eric and Jeremy made an observation I had to agree with. At five in the morning, on some random country road, they were able to stop a stranger and get directions. I think it was Jeremy that noted there would almost be nowhere in America he’d assume they could accomplish that without incurring some sort of danger. I had to admit Ithought the same thing, but then again, country-folk are country-folk and you’ll find they are typically nicer than citizens in the city caught up in the anonymity of the daily hussle and bustle.
I’m gonna continue to root for Ray and Yolanda to have the game I know they’re capable of. Maybe if they smiled a bit more and didn’t get confused with directions they can pull it off. They seem to have a hard time getting the locals to help them out.
