DeAnna Tells All
Tonight the Bachelorette is broken up into 2 parts of the show. The first part of the show is where we got a chance to take a pause and reflect back on what has happened up to this point. In addition, we got to some of DeAnna’s thoughts and got some answers to questions that a lot of folks have been having.
Looking back at the first couple of episodes of the show we learned that DeAnna had no idea that Ryan was a virgin. She seemed to be totally shocked about this fact. DeAnna was also amazed of how different some of the men were when they were with her vs. being with the other men.
She reflected on some moments from the first episode that really stood out in her mind. She was totally shocked that Paul jumped into the pool with his clothes on and that he had her name on his Speedos. She was actually wondering if he was going to go to the rose ceremony like that. She was also very impressed with Rob who whipped her up a dish because she loves food.
When asked about the most stunning moment on the show she had stated that for her it was when Graham refused to kiss her. She just could not understand what he didn’t take the opportunity. It kind of threw her back a little but even with this, she still finds herself being drawn to him.
Some of her biggest connection so far have been with Sean because of their Kentucky Bluegrass connections, Graham because she is just so physically attracted to him and Jason because she feels very comfortable with opening up to him.
Some of the big questions that she answered this evening were:
- Why did she send Richard home? – she really felt that he was the perfect guy, but unfortunately she just did not feel anything more than friendship to him. DeAnna just will not lead anyone on like it was done to her on the Bachelor.
- What happened at the barbeque? – DeAnna was really excited about spending time with the men but quickly ended up feeling that she was alone and she didn’t matter to them. She was really upset about Robert and felt that he didn’t care for her. She wants the guys to give it their all like she is doing and they just were not doing it then. She feels that her husband should not be breaking her heart.
- What happened to Robert and Fred on the 2 on 1 date – Basically DeAnna realized that she did not feel anything for both of these men. Even though after sending Robert home, she knew in her heard that Fred was not the one and she just could not lead him along. She decided it was best to be honest with him and send him home.
Tonight we also got to hear some feedback from Trista and Ryan Sutter from the first season of the Bachelorette. Trista and Ryan are living in Vail and Trista is a stay at home mom. Trista likes that DeAnna is being honest to the men and opening up herself to them.
We also did get a chance to get some more insight on the potential bachelors. For the most part I don’t think we learned anything new about the men except for Twilley, Sean and Jeremy. I was probably the most surprised about Twilley. We learned that while he was in college that he started a Real Estate software company and created touch screen applications. Twilley’s dad played football for the Miami Dolphins and he enjoy to draw. For those of you who are wondering, Twilley’s dads name is Howard Twilley. While I think we might of suspected it, it became very clear that Sean is “high maintenance”. He also seems to be a “mama’s boy” and likes the finer things in life. I’ll be honest but I think DeAnna is also high maintenance too so it might be a perfect match. We also got to learn that Jeremy races motorcycles and that he has a dog.
While most people are rooting for Jeremy, we found out this evening that she still does not have a favorite yet. The biggest concern for her at this point is Jason because if she gives him rose, she will have the opportunity to meet his family and also Jason’s son. She feels that if things don’t work out she will be breaking 2 hearts if she sends Jason home after that.
Later on this evening, we will have our recap of the second half of the show. Return to read who goes home of the Bachelorette later this evening.

I think that even though DeAnna said the show was pretty true a lot of editing goes on and we don’t get to see the real bachelors. After the two shows tonight I was sorry she sent Twilley home. He seemed to be a really sweet guy in a geeky sort of way. Perhaps his personality was just a bit too out ther for her. I think she made a mistake keeping Graham and sending home Sean. Graham is going to break her heart I think.
