Dirty Job
Now on its 4th season, Mike Rowe’s “Dirty Job” still does what it’s known for – being dirty. Since 2005, Rowe has toured around the country looking for jobs that needs to be done by someone, or else our country will either end up in poop, garbage, leftovers or pests. But just like they said, somebody has to do it.
Even though it really looks funny in TV, you’ll see the reality that we are not really aware. Some people earn money doing the dirtiest jobs known to man. There was even an episode where Mike happened to be with a guy that checks cow poop for a living. Mike has to catch fresh poop that hasn’t reached the floor yet and when he does, they have to check the contents of the poop to know if the cows in the farms are healthy. The more pure the poop is, the healthier the farm. But you don’t see any equipment in the cow poo checker. All they have is a can, flowing water and hands (no gloves) to really feel the poop. Now that’s just one episode. The show can get nasty but you don’t see Mike Rowe complaining.
Airing every Tuesday at 3PM Eastern, you can also see some of the most dangerous jobs anyone can do. From snake researchers, to alligators to sharks you can see how one bite can change the life of others.
Of course lastly, how can anyone miss the work of garbage collectors, sewer inspectors and worm dung farmers? The list just go on as we just sit in our couch in a lazy Tuesday afternoon while in some parts of the country, some people are sweating to battle various kinds of infestations or collecting left over foods from famous Vegas casinos. Dirty Jobs can be seen on the Discovery Channel.
