DWTS Elimination: Adam Carolla goes home
I used to think that my vote for a contestant meant the Kiss of Death; now I think it’s the pair chosen to dance by the judges - the Manbo with Steve and Jonathan, and now the UniDoble with Adam and Julianne. The elimination of Adam Carolla was not much of a surprise to anyone; but his gracious demeanor when called upon to speak by Tom B. was a surprise to me. I think I was looking at the facade, not the interior of the person.
This week’s show wasn’t the absolute bore of previous elimination shows. Yes, we did have the recap of the recap, and the constant self promotion of ABC and their finally returning shows, but Sheryl Crow performed and used the show’s professional dancers in her first number, and the World Professional Latin Dance champions in her second number. I don’t think those champions were any better than the dancers you see every week on DWTS.
Those under 9 year old dancers absolutely blew me away. They were fearless in performing in front of millions and showed poise beyond their years. The future of ballroom dancing is secure. I look forward to the next few elimination shows which will again feature the up and comers.
