DWTS: Jennie’s swan song
Well, Len must have had an inkling when he had Jennie and Derek dance the encore, because that was the last time they would be dancing on DWTS. The cha cha seemed to be a little slower and heavier than the original, appropriate for a swan song.
Review, review, review; repeat, repeat, repeat. That’s what you get of the results show. There is no reason on this earth the show couldn’t be cut to half an hour. Then, at least you wouldn’t be exposed to the sophomoric questions, e.g; “How would you feel if you got cut? ” Please, how do you think they’d feel, they have worked their butts off and their future on the show is entirely dependent on viewer votes. Samantha, how would you feel if you got cut from E news?
The Kenny Mayne skit - the ugly side of ballroom- showing former contestants, Lisa, Harry Laila and Tucker in ballroom rehab was actually amusing. I especially enjoyed Leila Ali patting her ballroom dress, and when Lisa said she had a tanning addiction I thought it was amusing. Not as amusing as the take-off on sports center, but amusing nonetheless.
Michael Flatley, what can you say, he is the master of Celtic dance, and the tapping pilots on parade were quite unusual. No music, just tap; no ballroom, just tap. When you close your eyes it was as if just one person was tapping the unison was that exceptional. Wonderful, but NOT BALLROOM!
Now, Sabrina and Mark gave a dance performance that overshadowed the musical guest. I still can’t figure out why they are not in the finals. Anyway, this was a warmup for the DWTS tour. Avril Lavigne, the musical guest, was good but her music is not to my taste. That’s why Heinz makes 57 varieties.
I am really looking forward to next week’s final. Hope Marie does well. I actually voted for her this time and she stayed in. The curse is broken!
