The DWTS results show began with a performance by Taylor Swift. There was a couple performing a freestyle type dance to the song, and while they were good all I could think was that I would have so much rather seen Lacey or Chelsie and one of the guys perform. After a recap of last night’s show we get the first elimination announcement, finding out that Joanna and Derek and Mark and Lacey are safe.

After the commercial break there is this bit about how the celebrities don’t want to be eliminated half way through the competition. Maybe it’s my headache that’s making me so cynical, but hello. Isn’t this the reason they entered the competition – to win? There’s an elimination announcement after the bit and we find out that Donny and Kym and Aaron and Karina are safe.

Tiempo Libre performs after the break and while I’m sure they are very talented musicians and the dancers are very talented as well I really didn’t enjoy it. I think I’m too hyped up for the whole double elimination – dance off drama coming up shortly. Next week the celebrities get to design the costumes for the dances and there’s a bit about it. I wasn’t too surprised to find out that Louie doesn’t know what chiffon is, and really hope Joanna is serious about putting Derek in a Speedo (though I think she is jesting). The elimination announcement for the remaining five couples follows. Mya and Dmitry and Kelly and Louis are safe. The three couples in jeopardy: Michael and Anna, Louie and Chelsie and Melissa and Mark.

Taylor Swift performed after the commercial break, her song “Love Story” and pros Anna, Jonathan, Tony, Edyta, Maks and Cheryl performed to it. Their routine was absolutely beautiful. I loved it. There’s a bit with Nadia Comaneci, Greg Louganis, and Bill Walton about achieving perfection. My husband summed it up perfectly – filler!   After this we find out that Melissa Joan Hart is eliminated because she and Mark had the lowest combined total score. Mark seemed to take it harder than she did, but then again she is an actress and can control her emotional expressions.

The dance off followed the commercial break. Michael and Anna did a Samba. Len said it was overall very enjoyable. Bruno said it had party and fun and was a crowd pleaser. Carrie Ann said he did well on personality but the technique was not there. Louie and Chelsie performed a Jive next. Bruno said it was fast, sharp and had a lot of energy. Carrie Ann was disappointed as she expected more content in the routine. (She mentioned at this point that she had the same disappointment with the other routine as well). Len agreed with Carrie Ann but said it was overall very well done.

We get the judges’ verdict after commercial break (a long commercial break). He said he wanted to save Louie and Chelsie. Len said he wanted to save Michael and Anna. It was all up to Carrie Ann as the tie breaking vote. She said it was clear for her based on the dance tonight that the couple she wanted to save was Michael and Anna. So after all was said and done Louie Vito was sent home.
