DWTS Results Show
We all knew it was inevitable, Cloris finally was eliminated. No one can fault her entertainment value, ABC and DWTS certainly milked it as far as it could be milked; but, come on, she’s an 82 year old woman, how can she possibly survive the physical strains of this type of competition. Give her her due, she hung in and on just as long as anyone could. You should also give a thunderous round of applause to Corky Ballas, who actually accomplished the impossible. Way to Go Corky! Cloris, by the way, as she took complete control of the crowd, announced that she is not leaving, she’s coming back next week in costume and will be sitting in the front row.
The judges’ request this week was an encore of the group Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop, that’s the ballroom of the big city streets. Give me a break. Hope this is the final hip hop we see.
The Pussycat Dolls were the guest stars, and even though I have never been to either a burlesque show or a strip club, I feel that their performance would be more appropriate in that venue. Nuf said.
Michael Flatly can come back and perform anytime the spirit moves him. He is a dramatic quintessential step-tap dancer. He performed a segment of his new show Celtic Tiger called Capone, complete with flames and explosion. Of course this received a standing ovation. He can also come back to judge any time he wants. He really knows how to give constructive criticism without being condescending (a la the current judges).
Answer me this, is ABC getting ready for another round of Carrie Ann vs Bruno in their attempt to run a show with their “team” dance for next week? You know I’ve heard it said that when you have a good thing going leave it alone.
I can’t really comment on the Ballroom Kids – satellite trouble. But from what I’ve seen in the past they would have been the highlight of the show.

I think it was Tom Bergeron who mentioned last night that they didn’t give the judges a choice in what dance to pick. He made a joke about how since this week was Halloween they’d get all the dancers to dress up again.
