DWTS results show – the fans have spoken
When I said it’s too bad Albert Reed didn’t have Wayne Newton’s fan base, I certainly didn’t think the final two would come down to them. It did, and the fans have spoken – Wayne Newton is much better known and his fans came through for him. What a shocker; not that it came down to Wayne and Albert, but that these were the last two. Mark Cuban proved that hard work and determination will keep you in; that and a bigger fan base than Albert Reed! The pros in their critique of the celebrity dancers all said that what is needed to win in performance, technique and a fan base, and weren’t they right!
Once again we had the rehash of last night’s show. Well, this time the rehash was 10 times better than the two dismal sit coms that preceded the results show. Queen Latifa was great in her two performances; her singing style reminded me of Peggy Lee (that’s really showing my age). You could actually understand the lyrics and her renditions of two oldies but goodies were top drawer.
Maybe ABC is looking for the kiddie viewers. When the Count from Sesame Street does the tabulations, according to Kimmel and his sidekick, that’s sure to pull in the preschool vote!
Wayne Newton spoke for the dancers and the crew in sending prayers to Jane Seymour on the death of her mother. Jane, who has dedicated her performances to her mother, will be back on stage next week.
