DWTS: Six couples, two dances
In my opinion, Laila Ali and Apolo Ono, two world class athletes have been transformed into, if not world class, at least hemisphere class dancers. Trust me, when their competitive juices are flowing no one is better than these two, and tonight they brought in their “A” game. When Laila lets Maks lead she is spectacular; her frame in the quick step was great, and the samba was the best I’ve seen her dance. Boy is Maks built like a brick wall or what, and can he shake that booty! Apolo and his partner did a fantastic fox trot, and a great mambo; all the innovative moves were primo! Seems to me the judges are holding Apolo to a higher standard than the other dancers, just an observation.
Also in my opinion, Ian is a legend in his own mind. He comes across as a first class phoney. He might be the nicest guy in the world, but something in his attitude does not ring true with me. It certainly has been his good fortune to be paired with Cheryl; but how long will she be able to carry him? Great performances from Joey and Kym,totally n sync, as Len would say. A little too much with the props in his fox trot though; again this is my opinion.
Billy Ray Cyrus is such a nice man; a true diamond in the rough. He tries so hard and the fans really love him. I hope he stays around for a little while longer. Another nice guy is John, he looks great in a tux and at least he didn’t drop Edyta, that is the best I can say. I even voted for this pair tonight, and that is usually the kiss of death. We’ll see tomorrow.
