DWTS: The ladies are down to Laila Ali
Just how long can Laila Ali carry the female banner on Dancing With The Stars? She’s good, but the voters keep eliminating the female competitors. Strikes me as strange.
The reprisal of the group swing dance was about two steps behind the original performance last night. It lacked the enthusiasm and spontaneity of the first performance. Something was missing.
If I wanted to watch a performance from Dreamgirls, I would go to the movies and see it; what I am tuning in to see is ballroom dancing. The performance was excellent, don’t get me wrong, but in my opinion it was out of place. Funny, how right after this particular performance, an advertisement for the DVD of Dreamgirls was shown, humm–
I for one will miss Heather. Granted she was not the best of dancers, and she was only known to me as the divorcing wife of Paul, who was painted in the tabloids as not too reputible a character, but she really put it out there. This lady has one leg, and she was right in there with the rest of them to the end. She is a tribute to perserverance and a fine example to those with similar handicaps. It seems to me that if the celebrity has to do a lot of traveling, such as Clyde the previous week, and Heather this week, the odds are that will be the celebrity to be eliminated.
Well the plot thickens, and next week with two dances, ballroom and latin the show should be even more interesting.
