DWTS: The results show
I have to say, the couple eliminated tonight, Alec and Josie were the most striking couple to be eliminated in the first round. If I remember Alec was paired with another model, Paulina, and they were also eliminated in the first round of competition. I for one will really miss Alec, he is one great dancer and not too bad looking either! Next week, we will see how Floyd handles either the quickstep or the mambo; no slouching, Floyd! I can’t wait to see the rest of the field, especially Sabrina and Helio hit the boards.
A new addition to “Let’s fill an Hour” for ABC was the Stars of Dance sponsored by Macys. Tonight, the featured dancer was Savion Glover. I am a child of the ’50’s musicals, I remember Donald O’Connor and Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, and in recent years, Gregory Hines. Maybe it was because he had to tap on tap boards and wasn’t able to fly across the floor, but he’s is not in the above mentioned league of tap dancers. They could tap and glide and make you feel you were watching magic.
Included in the “Let’s fill an Hour” was a performance by Dolly Parton. Dolly is a legend, but, ABC I want to watch dancing! Put the pros on if you want to fill the hour. Or, better still, keep it where it should be 1/2 hour.

I agree with you about Gregory Hines. There’s no question that Glover is a fantastically talented dancer. I really hate labels like “the greatest of all time” or “the best in the world”. I also wish ABC would cut down the size of the results show. Tell me what I want to know and shut up!
