DWTS Week 5: Priscilla Presley is eliminated
It’s the last week for one dance only for the couples on Dancing With The Stars. If it hasn’t happened already we’re going to start seeing the weaker dancers eliminated from the competition pretty quickly.
The judges picked Kristi and Mark’s Rumba as the encore performance. It was just as good tonight as last night. I have to say that Kristi looks really good for having had two children – in fact, I think it’s pretty sick that her stomach looks that good after two pregnancies.
A musical performance was up next. I couldn’t catch the name of the band, but it was a Latin band from Los Angeles and their performance was a lot of fun. They were accompanied by professional dancers Jonathan, Kym, Fabian, Anna, Edyta, Derek, Louis and Karina and as always they were great.
First elimination announcements. We find out that Kristi and Mark are safe and that Cristian and Cheryl are in the bottom two.
The Dancing With The Stars Junior competition was up next, and it featured the 10 and under category. First up was the team of Dmitry and Michelle, two ten year olds that performed the Jive. They were so cute and really good too. The other couple was Jaryd and Cara. Jaryd is 10, Cara 8 (the youngest competitor in this competition) and they performed the Cha Cha Cha. They were really good too and so adorable. In a split decision the judges picked Jaryd and Cara to move on.
Teleprompter problems – Tom Bergeron is absolutely hysterical and handled it so well and made it a fun kind of skit almost.
Next elimination announcements – Jason and Edyta are safe.
James Blunt performed tonight, accompanied by two world champion dancers. It was an ok song (actually kind of boring and I really wished I had it on TiVo so I could fast forward through it). He’s ok as a singer but truthfully I would have rather heard the first band perform again instead of him.
More elimination announcements – Mario and Karina and Marissa and Tony are safe.
Commercial break, then the final announcements. Shannon and Derek and Marlee and Fabian are safe. That means Priscilla and Louis and Cristian and Cheryl are in the bottom two.
The couple eliminated tonight: Priscilla and Louis.
