Got Talent - semi-finals
This is the second round of the semi-finals. I am almost finding this show unwatchable, not because of the talent, but because of the judges. I want to reach through my screen and strangle the Big Doofus (Hasselhoff) most of the time. His “Don’t Hassle the Hoff” shirt really set me off! They show the judges going over the talent and going over the talent. Brandy says she has her “credibility” to think of when choosing talent. Then who is the first act out – Dave the Horn Guy! Come on! At first, I was angry with the judges for even having him in the final ten. Then I was angry at their reaction to his act. I thought his act was actually a step up from the last time and they all trashed him. Why did they bring this guy out? Just to embarrass him? It was borderline mean to me.
There were some good acts there tonight. My favorite was At Last, the Asian a cappella group. Realis was good with their acrobatic gymnastics. I must admit I wish there were two competitions – one for adults and one for kids so I could tune out the kids. Natasha Le was pretty good, but Sugar and Spice just annoyed me. Yeah, they were cute – that was it. Vladimir was incredible, but I know they won’t vote him into the finals. I had to agree with Brandy (who annoys me less than Hasselhoff, but that isn’t saying much) about N’Versity. There is no need for 17 year olds to try to look 30. Mark the Knife is good, but for some reason his act just didn’t go over well. Leonid…what can you say about Leonid? He is definitely a diva.
One thing I hate is that acts that we’ve never seen are chosen to go to the semi-finals. Then the acts have to sit in the audience, waiting for a chance to get on stage. Poor little dancer K Turbo looked like he was going to cry waiting. I just don’t like the whole format for this show!
