Great and not so great performances tonight on DWTS
Once again the competition started out with an excellent performance. This time by Apolo and Julianne with the quickstep. He really has a lot going for him with dancing. That said, along came Joey whose dance was showy instead of really ballroom but he did a fine job. Surprising me was the performance of John and Edyta. Edyta can make anyone look good, but the ease and comfort that John showed with the quick step was amazing. Ian, while not spectacular, was very good. Billy Ray’s hair looked much better this week, and while his quick step was better than the cha-cha, it wasn’t very good. You could actually watch him counting the steps out loud. Clyde Drexler was a mighty talented basketball player. He floated with ease on the court. Go back to the court, Clyde.
Let us now discuss the ladies. Laila Ali can really shake that groove thing. Her athletic ability serves her well on the dance floor, but Laila, the man leads. You would never know that Heather Mills has a handicap when she was dancing the mambo, she did a fine job, and Jonathan choreographed the dance to really make her look fine. Shandi and Leeza must think that Latin is a classroom subject, not a dance form. Pleeze, ladies, loosen up! If you don’t you won’t be around much longer. All I can say about Paulina’s performance, is that Alec is one heck of a dancer, and not a bad looker either, which is a good thing, because then you don’t pay attention to Paulina. Alec made a champ out of Kelly Monaco, but he won’t be able to do anything near that with Paulina.
My guess is that Clyde or Billy Ray will be eliminated this week. We’ll find out tomorrow.
