Heather Mills kicked off Dancing With The Stars
It really didn’t come as a shock to me tonight when Heather Mills was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. I thought she would have a tough time drumming up a fan base because she’s from the UK and not really well known in the US. She wasn’t my favorite celebrity by far, but she certainly was not the weakest dancer left in the competition and did not deserve to be eliminated just yet. Plus I love Jonathan Roberts and really enjoy watching him perform. I did think Heather proved to be a really classy lady, thanking people who work on the show that seem to go each and every week without so much as a “good job”.
Personally I’m getting really tired of these over bloated results show. The singer this week was Joss Stone. I’d never heard of her before this evening so I really didn’t have an opinion of her. She was ok but I have a problem when she performs a song to which not one professional dancer dances. That’s why we watch the show – to see ballroom dancing.
And I wasn’t too happy with the performance from Dreamgirls this week. The dancers were talented, that’s for sure, but I don’t want to see them. I want to see Maks and Jonathan and Julianne and the rest of the professionals perform. What kind of cross promotion does ABC have up its sleeve in showing this performance, other than the DVD is set to come out in two weeks?
Next week the performers will have to learn two dances, one ballroom and one Latin. What in the world is Billy Ray going to do now? He had problems enough learning one new dance, let alone two. In the group Swing number this week he could kind of hide or follow along with the other professionals, but next week he (and all the other couples) will have both dances scored by the judges. John is also in trouble – he was in the bottom two this week so the handwriting is on the wall for him. Next week you’ll probably see John and Billy Ray in the bottom two just because I think they’re going to have a really hard time learning two dances and performing them both as well as they can.
