Hell’s Kitchen: Corey’s Eliminated – Petrozza and Christina Make the Final Two!

Well, needless to say, everyone was glad Jen was gone (but we will see her next week). Chef Ramsay decided he was going to cook for the final three, but he threw in a twist – he brought in family members for each contestant. As they ate, Petrozza and Corey were too busy enjoying the company, but Christina paid attention to the dish because guess what? After the families left, the chefs had to prepare the dish. They had a small sampling to taste and each one did fairly well. Corey nailed the sauce and used cream, but used the wrong meat (buffalo). It came down to Christina and Petrozza and it was his lack of making a puree that gave Christina the edge. Poor Petrozza! For the win, Christina, her mom, her dad, and Chef Ramsay enjoyed LA sightseeing and a 3 course meal.

For Hell’s Kitchen, the sous chefs would come in to help because the three contestants would take turns running the hot plate. Chef Ramsay had the sous chefs through the contestants a few curves. However, he did give them some assertive training beforehand. It was funny when he said Christina came off like a cheerleader. Once the kitchen opened, Christina fell apart. She burned the salmon then tried to serve it raw. She dropped a pan and Chef Ramsay even asked if she wanted to go home. However, she was very assertive at the hot plate and did well, even noticing the seasoning for the potatoes was wrong. Petrozza did okay at the hot plate station (with the exception of wanting to send out risotto without peas), but Corey was not good. She noticed the Wellington sauce was wrong – after she poured it on the steaks.

Chef Ramsay asked the three to each nominate one person. Christina nominated Corey and Corey nominated Christina. That little rivalry worked out well for Petrozza. He nominated Christina, but Chef saw something in her and sent Corey home. I personally hope Petrozza wins next week – he has been the most consistent while Christina has shining, then disastrous moments.
