Hell’s Kitchen: Joseph Continues his Rant; Tony Goes Home

Joseph continued his odd rant on “Hell’s Kitchen” this week. I don’t know what set him off exactly, but when he got in Chef Ramsay’s face and asked him to step outside, security stepped him. Chef Ramsay remained calm, probably because he was just as confused about the outburst as everyone else. Chef Ramsay finally told him to leave, saying “What an idiot.”

Tony and Andy were still nominated and Chef Ramsay decided to send Tony home. Thankfully, Tony didn’t throw a fit. Joseph’s explosion did seem to be quite entertaining to the other contestants though. Robert moved back to the Blue Team since they lost two people.

The fire alarm went off at 2 am, but surprise, it was just a drill. The contestants were awake for the challenge – to feed firemen pasta dishes. The service started off with garlic bread, which sounded easy, but proved to be quite difficult for Andy. He only had two out of five ovens going for some reason. The girls weren’t doing much better – after 20 minutes, there was still no bread out. The bread was finally sent, and then the pasta dishes started going out. It was close, but the Red Team won. They got a day at the spa while the Blue Team had to clean the fire equipment and engines.

That proved to be disastrous for the guys as Dave suffered a torn ligament and slight fracture when his hand got caught up in the fire engine and Kevin suffered a stretched ligament in on ankle and a severe sprain in the other. Both required medical attention and Kevin was put in a boot and a cast.

One member from each team had to be a waiter and Dave volunteered for the Blue Team while Lovely was drafted for the Red Team. Suzanne was busy telling Tennille she had too much grease to cook the scallops, but Tennille told her to butt out. Then Chef Ramsay told her there was too much oil. She spilled it and started a small fire on the grill. Lovely didn’t get the first ticket in for 45 minutes, but the Red Team ended up finishing before the Blue Team because Robert forgot the salmon on the last dish.

However, the comment cards had the Blue Team scoring 2% higher than the Red Team. Ariel had to choose two people for elimination and chose Lovely and Tennille. Chef Ramsay told them both he didn’t think they could win, but send Lovely back to the line. He told Tennille to come forward and told her to “wake up big time” and return to the line as well. Because Joseph had left, he wasn’t sending anyone else home, so it was a gift. Well, at least they will think that until next week.
