Hell’s Kitchen: Reawakening the Beast
Gordon Ramsay is back and joining him were 15 culinary warriors. At least they though they were warriors until they met Ramsey’s wrath. The contestants are Vanessa, Rosann, Craig, Bobby, Shayna, Louross, Dominic, Petrozza, Ben, Corey, Jen, Christina, Jason, Matt, and Sharon.
Chef Ramsay got on the bus with the contestants, disguised as one of them. That was funny as they talked about him and did impressions then saw him take the disguise off. He had them cook their signature dishes, but many he spat out. He ended up telling Ben and Rosann their dishes were “not bad,” and told Vanessa her dish was “delicious.”
The men and women had to choose a captain. The girl’s chose Vanessa (since he liked her dish) and after much debating, the guys gave into letting Bobby be captain. That almost proved to be his undoing.
When Hell’s Kitchen opened, Bobby didn’t really want to lead his kitchen. After Chef Ramsay refused Jason’s appetizer twice, he finally told Louross to take over as captain. Same thing happened on the girl’s side. When Sharon, who Jen had nicknamed “Barbie,” failed to produce a decent appetizer twice, Chef Ramsay told Vanessa to give her captain’s band to Rosann, which upset Jen, who thought she deserved it.
The girl’s finally got an appetizer out, then Jason got his act together, but as they guy’s went to serve their appetizer, the customers started leaving. They waiting too long for food, so really, both teams were losers. But Chef Ramsay had to pick someone, so he chose the girl’s team as the winners. Louross, as the captain, had to nominate two people. I thought maybe Jason would be in there, but he nominated Bobby, for lack of leadership, and Dominic, because he couldn’t get orders on time. In Dominic’s defense, he had been a stay at home dad for the past 10 years, but Chef Ramsay chose him as the contestant to leave.
