Hell’s Kitchen: Robert Goes Home
The “Hell’s Kitchen” challenge this week was for the teams to roll dice on a craps table. A letter would come up and each team member had to choose an ingredient that began with that letter. At the end, they had to make one dish comprised of all the ingredients. The Red Team got to go first and chose great ingredients. The Blue Team was upset when Dave chose figs, but they pulled it all together.
Tennille had told Ariel that her garlic puree was too garlicy and she needed to add some sugar. Ariel totally ignored her and while Chef Ramsay said both dishes were delicious, he said the puree had too strong a garlic taste and gave the win to the guys. They got to go to the Palms Casino in Vegas.
Robert still hadn’t showed up when the Blue Team returned and everyone was happy with that. Of course, after that, he showed up and knew he had no friends there. At the dinner service that night, each team had a chef’s table (chefs from Chef Ramsay’s restaurants). The Blue team did terrible during the service. They ignored the chef’s table then Van flubbed it when he finally went out there. He served up two dishes to the diners that still had plastic in them and Robert served raw fish.
Chef Ramsay finally shut it down, but the Red Team won because they did finish the service. Chef Ramsay chose Dave to nominate two people. Robert tried to throw Andy under the bus, saying he had been up there many times in the past. Dave ended up nominating Van and Robert, but Chef Ramsay called Andy forward. He told Van to get back in line. Robert said he was disgusted that he was even standing up there with Andy then those two got in a bit of a shouting match. Chef Ramsay sent Robert home, saying he had more HK service experience than the others and still sent out raw fish. Robert told Andy his time was coming as he left.
