Hell’s Kitchen: Sharon Goes Home
The guys were still a little sore about losing to the girls. But Chef Ramsay was still sore about everyone’s performance. He decided to make both teams sort through the food they wasted last night – at 6 o’clock in the morning! The contestants were covered in muck and Jen even gagged.
The challenge was to slice up a whole halibut into perfect 6-ounce pieces. The teams had 20 minutes to do as many as they could. Petrozza on the guy’s side finished early, thinking they had about 50 pieces. The girls took their time and worked until the 20-minute point. The girls had 41 pieces, but after Chef Ramsay threw away several of the first pieces because they were not cut properly, the guys began to sweat it. It ended up in a tie – the first time ever on the show.
The tiebreaker was to send one team member to pick out a 6-ounce piece of halibut. The once closest to 6 ounces would win. The guys sent Ben and he did pretty good – 5.9 ounces. The girls sent Corey, since she had done so well measuring during the challenge. She wasn’t very close – 4.8, so the guys won a day on a yacht with Chef Ramsay. The girls had to do kitchen duty. Jen opened her big mouth saying “I called it, said the damn fillet was too little.” Corey didn’t appreciate that comment.
The next day, some of the girls moaned about Sharon needing so much help from others. Two people were chosen to help Jean Phillipe out front – Craig (who ended up hitting a lady in the head with a chair) and Rosann (who was holding tickets so they wouldn’t get behind). In the kitchen, Chef Ramsay gave Petrozza a hard time, as he once again didn’t know the menu. After being sent up twice to study it, he finally got the entrees. Once the crowd arrived, the men had entrees going out after only 37 minutes while the girls were lagging behind. The guys sent out some raw fish and finally Chef Ramsay shut it all down.
Corey took the lead on the girl’s side and impressed Chef Ramsay so, that when it was announced the girls were the losers, he asked her to pick two to go home. She chose Christina (stating that she treated her like a dumb blond) and *surprise* Jen for talking about her earlier. Christina gave a teary speech as to why she should stay, but Jen went on and on and on.
In the end, Chef Ramsay overrode Corey’s suggestion and sent Sharon home because he said he just didn’t believe in her or her skills. Now, Jen is gunning for Corey, of course.
