Hell’s Kitchen: Vanessa Leaves
Yes, Vanessa left Hell’s Kitchen tonight, but not for the reason you might think. She wasn’t voted off the show – she left because she couldn’t give 100% in the kitchen due to her burned hand. Chef Ramsay thought it was unfortunate and many of the girls thought she just gave up on herself.
The challenge was to create a fine dining pizza. Each chef got to create their own from 130 ingredients, then each team would test them and choose one. The girls all agreed that Jen’s was the best. As usual, the guys had a communication problem. Ben and Bobby decided to use Ben’s duck pizza before Petrozza’s pizza was even out of the oven. Chef liked both pizzas, but Ben’s mushrooms had grit on them. He awarded the win to the girls and they got to go by helicopter to Square One, the home of the $90 burger. The guys losing streak continues and Chef Ramsay tells them to learn to communicate.
As part of their punishment, the guys had to deliver pizzas that night in a golf cart. We saw Ben go out and deliver one pizza, but the storyline never went anywhere. For the first time ever, both sides complete their service. It was hilarious when Louross burned his steak and didn’t have any more ready. Petrozza came over, sheared off the thinnest top piece so you could see the pink and the sous chef said it looked much better. At least some of the guys worked together.
While there was no losing team, Chef Ramsay told each team to decide on one person to nominate. The guys were set on Louross. The girls chose Rosann at first, but at the last minute, Jen started telling people she wanted Christina gone. Jen is getting on my nerves now. She might be a good chef, but she is just trying to run the whole place. So, right before they go back out, Rosann tells Christina they are voting for her. When the girls tell Chef Ramsay this, he point blank asks Jen if she is threatened by Christina’s intelligence. She says no, but you know she is. When Chef Ramsay asks Rosann if she thinks she is a better chef than Christina, she says yes. Chef Ramsay tells her she just screwed her whole team.
But, he was feeling generous tonight and told them the weakest chef was already gone (Vanessa). He said that was a gift for completing the service tonight, but they had all better shape up.
