Hello Hollywood

Lots of drama tonight, as would be expected.  There were almost twice as many girls as boys and they started off terribly.  The entire first six were cut.  Perla, the Shakira wannabe made it through the first day, but Rachel, the Army reservist didn’t.  Nor did Second-Chance Ashlyn, the girl who “trained” to be there, or the girl who had to call her dad and tell him she disobeyed him and went to the auditions.  Nicole sang the song her mom wanted her to sing rather than the one she felt and it cost her.  Mom pleaded for her, but Simon said it wasn’t the song.  Ouch.  The Sob Story (you know, Daddy shot himself) girl got through the first day.

Next up were the guys.  The started off better than the girls, but the Sailor, Jarrod, wasn’t good enough and was shipped out.  Unsupportive Parents Matt made it through the first day as did Funny Guy Chris and Castro Lookalike Sean Michael.  Then came group night.  The best friends, Amanda and Antonella got on my nerves.  They were just bitchy.  And Gina got on my nerves as well. She teamed up with Perla and kept giving her a hard time.  Personally, I thought Perla was cute and feisty, but her accent was too thick for me.  Didn’t matter much because Perla suffered the kiss of death – she forgot her words.  Sean Michael, who I liked also forgot the words.  Matt blew it, forgetting the words to the song and he too was gone.  Sundance messed up both days, but miraculously made it through.  Chris, Rudy, Thomas and Blake were the best group they showed tonight.  Baylie, the Commercial with a Capital C ranch girl from Texas teamed up with Amanda and Antonella.  While Amanda was flirting with guys, Baylie and Antonella were practicing.  Didn’t do any good, Baylie forget the words.  Actually, she didn’t seem to remember any of the words of the song.

Finally, the contestants were down to three rooms – two made it through, one didn’t.  Amanda was in the room that didn’t make it.  What was up with her comment about she made it through initially because “God likes good people?”  Geesh, I am glad she’s gone!  I hated to see the Indian brother and sister duo split up – he made it, she didn’t.  He was so heartbroken that she had to leave.  Right now, he is my early favorite.
