Hell’s Kitchen says goodbye to Brad
Well another Hell’s Kitchen comes to an end and so does Brad’s chances. Hell’s Kitchen started this evening with our chef’s first challenge to prepare a menu from leftovers. The menu needed to include 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. The blue team was victorious over the red team by winning 2 dishes to 1. Chef Ramsay was so not impressed with Josh and Jen’s dishes that he chose not to declare a winner between them.
The men were treated to a game of paintball against Chef Ramsay. The Chef kicked their butt even though it was three against 1. The women were assigned the task of cleaning the kitchen and checking in orders. It was lucky that Chef Ramsay didn’t flip out on Bonnie because she screwed up by accepting wrong orders.
For the evening competition our teams had to come up with their own menu. The menu needed to consist of 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts. Once again, you could see how the women seem to not take any suggestions from Julia as she is only a “waffle house chef”, however when Chef Ramsay was asking if she contributed she stated that the other team members said her suggestion of “Steak and Shrimp” was a cop out because Steak is too easy. Ramsay quickly disagreed and gave them the opportunity to rethink their decision. Luckily for the red team they did because Julia’s dish ended up being the most ordered dish for the evening and not one “Steak and Shrimp” dinner was returned back to the kitchen.
While all teams were able to serve their dishes, Ramsay was simply not impressed with the performance of any of the teams. The red team once again went back to their old ways of complaining and not communicating with each other and the blue team did nothing to help Brad when he was having problems serving his dishes. I really became unimpressed with Rock because he just stood there and did nothing to help him out. He talks a big game but really did a good job at hiding in the kitchen this evening and being critical of his team’s performance. He really worked up a sweat by drinking that water. Ramsay declared that no team this evening won the competition but did point out the fact that Julia was consistent with her performance. Julia was asked to nominate someone from her team to go home and the blue team was asked to nominate someone from their team.
After much discussion, Julia nominated Bonnie from her team and the men nominated Brad. Julia felt Bonnie has great ideas and is talented but just does not produce the end results and the blue team felt that is was because of Brad that they did not win because all of the dishes were chosen by Brad this evening. In the end, Chef Ramsay felt Brad simply was not the leader he was looking for and sent him home. To me it was surprising that he gave Bonnie a second chance. Bonnie has done nothing but cry and complain the whole competition.
Next week is going to be interesting as their will no longer be a blue and red team because they are now going to cook together as one team.
