Hey Paula: The Drama that is Paula Abdul
Once again, I just feel that if Paula thought this show would help her reputation after the crazy interview, she is mistaken. After a long day at QVC, she found herself snowed in Philly. So what does she do? She puts beefy jerky shaped like a doggy turd in an assistant’s bed. Then when the girl screams, Paula lets go with a manic, fake sounding laugh. What’s weird is she even left the beef jerky in the plastic wrapper, so how horrifying could that have been?
After having a meltdown about the Bratz movie that I didn’t understand, she proceed to have another meltdown because her hair and makeup guy (Daniel) and the guy who writes her speeches (Billy) couldn’t fly in. As Paula herself put it “I am as vulnerable as vulnerable can be” and “I need help.” You said a mouthful there, sister.
She finally made it up to New York to do Letterman and Daniel and Billy were both able to meet her. She did spend a bit of time with superfan Megan outside of the building. As far as I can tell, spending time with her fans is the only redeeming quality I can see from this show. She had a temporary assistant tonight who seemed ready to quit, although Paula said it really didn’t take much to make her happy. What?
