High School Musical: Get in the Picture: The Western Finals
Like the eastern auditions, the judges had to take the top 30 and narrow them down to ten, then the final six on High School Musical: Get in the Picture. The contestants went to a dance class and you could just tell that some had it and some didn’t have it. After the dancing, they attended a vocal session. This pretty much has the same results, with some kids getting too nervous and forgetting words.
The judges had to narrow down to ten contestants to move on to the duet section of the audition. They did this one as they did the last time – all ten were called out at the same time. Those making it were Shayna, Lauren, Madison, Christie, Britney, Christina, TJ (even though he fumbled a few words in his song), Ether, Sean (without BFF Kelli), and Stan.
The ten were paired up into duets to perform at California Adventure (across from Disneyland). TJ was paired with Shayna, Ether sang with Lauren, Madison and Christie formed the first all girl duo, Britney and Sean sang together, and Stan and Christina were paired up. The judges thought Christie was pushing it a bit far, they had trouble hearing TJ, and they thought Stan was a bit awkward.
Apparently, if they say something negative about you that means you are moving on! Going to Utah will be TJ, Shayna (who has an incredible voice), Ether, Christie, Stan, and Christina.
