Jackie please focus on working out
It’s still hot here, still nothing to do but watch the newest episode of Work Out (yawn). Now I understand that Bravo is a very gay friendly channel (which I have absolutely no problem with as I am watching it). My problem is that this show seems to be more about a lesbian relationship than the ins and outs of running a gym and being a trainer. The opening of the show really grabbed my attention because it was about a woman by the name of Tess Borden who came to the gym seeking the help of Jackie. Tess appeared to be a very overweight woman who was looking for Jackie’s guidance to get herself healthy. I said to myself, this is what being a trainer is all about; helping people make their lives better both physically and mentally. Then all of a sudden, back to the lesbian thing.
All I can tell you is that:
- I don’t care about Jackie and Mimi
- I don’t care about Jackie and Mom
- I don’t care about Jackie and her eggs
- I don’t care about any of the trainers relationships
Thankfully the show got back to focusing on the needs of Tess. Jackie offered some very sound advice and really appeared to care about her client. I wish this show spend more time on this aspect of Jackie’s life and the other trainers.
Just my thoughts, but is this show about trainers or about romantic relationships???

I think you’ve missed the point of the show. This show is about Jackie and all the aspects of her life. She’s not just a personal trainer – that’s not the only part of her life. This isn’t a competition show, it’s more of a “day in the life” show, and that means all the parts of her life. Her relationship with her mother and her girl friend are just as integral to Jackie as a person as her career.

Didn’t Tess Borden look familiar? Hasn’t she been on something else? Love the show. Found this episode painful with the mother/daughter relationship.

Was Tess Jackie’s girlfriend? She reminded me of Brittany Spears. Especially with that one hat she was wearing.

Mimi was Jackie’s girlfriend.

There’s shows all about cooking ( anything you can imagine) and fashion, decorating, whatever. Then comes Work Out. I thought “Great finally show all about Fitness” Something I’m very interested in……….. NOT! This show is about a woman and her life and all her other “stuff”who happens to be a personal trainer. Anyway “gay” is so mainstream now that it’s boring. Who cares. Jackie! Girlfriend! Fitness is missing in cable TV, let’s have some.

So, I agree about the Tess thing. She is very inspiring. I googled her, and it looks like she was a dancer and and actress. Maybe that’s how you know her face. I wonder how she gained all that weight? Anyway, she is incredibly inspiring and I can’t wait to see how far she goes with it.
As for Mimi and Jackie’s mom, I say to each their own. I wouldn’t hang with either of them, but I’m not Jackie.
I will ask this question:
“when did watching the menutia of people’s lives become Entertainment?”
seriously, Bravo…
