Joanna Krupa eliminated from Dancing with the Stars
It’s the semi finals results show for Dancing With The Stars. Right away we see the encore performance – Mya and Dmitry’s Salsa. Since I wasn’t overly fond of it last night I didn’t care if I would see it again. How about Kelly’s Quickstep or Rumba? Only my opinion. It’s followed by the recap of last night’s show. At least the producers had the decency to show us a dance first and the recap second. The first elimination announcement follows. Or so we think…..we get some dramatic comments about the remaining couples to hear Tom Bergeron that the first couple safe will be revealed…..shortly. Ugh.
Following the commercial break there is a bit on the remaining celebrities commenting on the other celebrities. It’s followed by a performance from the movie Nine that’s coming out in December.
Alicia Keys performs after the break. She’s accompanied by some dancers who aren’t the pros from the show. A music video where the remaining celebrities lip synch to David Bowie’s “Under Pressure.” Donny is such a natural performer, no matter what he is doing. Tom calls down Mya and Dmitry and Joanna and Derek. They reveal that Mya and Dmitry are safe, and that we have to wait to find out about Joanna and Derek. In show speak, later on Tom says this meant they were in jeopardy.
Leona Lewis performs a song from her new CD after the commercial break. She too is accompanied by dancers who are not pros from the show. I hate that. Nothing against the dancers that are brought into the show, but I prefer to watch the pros. Donny and Kym and Kelly and Louis are called out for an elimination announcement. We find out that Donny and Kym are safe. Read: Kelly and Louis are in jeopardy.
The Bee Gees performed their hit “You Should Be Dancing” after the break. Pros Cheryl, Tony and a few others that I didn’t recognize performed. Melissa Rycroft joined them. Why? What’s the point? It’s not as if she won her season or anything? Maybe she’s still under contract with ABC from The Bachelor. Did you see the crowd shots during the performance? Get a look at Ozzy? You could just see that he could care less about the music or the performance. Sharon probably told him “stand up or you’ll look out of place” or something like that. It’s followed by a bit on how the pros put together group routines each week. Back to the elimination announcement. We hear some comments about the couples, then find out that after the commercial break we’ll hear who is safe and who is going to be eliminated. Big surprise people.
In the end it was Joanna Krupa who was eliminated. Here’s one time I’ll disagree and say that the better dancer was sent home. Joanna deserves to go to the finals. It was nice to see her and Derek perform their Viennese Waltz one more time.

Joanna did not deserve to be eliminated! Donny should have went home..i am starting 2 wonder if the voting is rigged..Kelly is awesome, but I can’t believe she beat Joanna! This is a major upset..Mya has it in the bag now!

True, Joanna was the better dancer, but Louis did say he had some interesting ideas for the free dance, and maybe that’s what got Kelly the votes, who knows!
