John O’Hurley is Champion of the Dance Off
Well, America has spoken, and John O’Hurley was named champion of the Dancing With the Stars dance off. Less than 1% separated the votes for John and Kelly. At the end of the show when the winner was announced, Kelly looked mad enough to spit nails. And then when she was interviewed she looked like she would cry. I guess you can’t really hold it against her, though, because she did work very hard to get to the level she’s at and no matter what happens she’ll always be the Champion of the first season of Dancing With the Stars.
I just hope that if ABC plans on keeping this new format they’ll do somethin a little bit better with the results show. It reminded me of a hot dog – no meat, and all filler. I read somewhere that Tuesday’s show didn’t even win the ratings for the night. 90 minutes was kind of long for the show, even for the die hard fans. Hopefully they’ll learn and when the show returns in January 2006 it will be even better. I can’t wait!
