Jordin Sparks Signs a Contract
After months of waiting and some people doubting whether Jordin will be on the lime light after “Idol”, Jordin finally signs with 19 Recordings/Jive Records. We were already thinking that she’ll just go back to Glendale and finish her high school.
But good things do come to those who wait. The label that will produce her album is no joke: departing from the recording company that were all part of RCA label group, she signs up with the company that was responsible for creating really big names from the 90’s. Backstreet Boys, N’Sync and Britney have to credit Jive records on how they reached their stardom during those times. Currently the roster under Jive is a power house: Justin, Pink, and Ciara are only some of the names under Jive records.
Comparing this to other companies that signed up the idol, we can say that Jive could catapult anyone to stardom faster and better compared to other groups. Right now “Idol” songs are downloaded but not in a frantic way that cassette and CDs that were sold during the 90s when everyone wants to have a piece of the famous boy bands and individual groups under Jive.
Jive is confident that she has what it takes to stand up and bring herself the popularity she deserves. “Jordin is a terrific young singer who has found a great home at Jive….Jordin Sparks hints of a legacy and longevity waiting to be fulfilled,” said Sony BMG chairman Clive Davis, who takes Jive under the Sony’s wings.
Backed up with a great company and a powerful voice, Jordin will release her single “Tattoo” in August 27 for everyone to hear in radio. Her album was set to be released in November.
Let’s just wait and see how a company can boost Jordin’s career. The young lady could make or break her career in this very first album.
Jordin is currently on tour with the “Idol Summer Tour” until September 22 in Manchester, NH.
